Oshkosh this year, for us, was a quickie. We were in the area for much of the week, but only attended Airventure on Tuesday. The rest of the week was spent visiting family and relaxing in Door County. We had a good time — it was the first time in several years that Pam has been able to come to WI with me, and that made a big difference. So the highlight of this trip was spending time together at the Quiet Cottage, right on the shore of Lake Michigan. We also took a kayak tour, a first for us. At Airventure, we saw the record-setting formation flight of 36 RV’s and one Rocket fly over. We also saw the demo flight and arrival of the huge Airbus 380. The only things I bought for the plane was a blade transponder antenna and an Infinity stick grip.
As usual, the year has really flown by. We’ve been blessed with good health, good friends, and the first flight of the plane. We are looking forward to lots of airborne fun in 2005. Cheers!
